To everyone’s surprise, Game Science shared a new trailer for Black Myth Zhong Kui in celebration of the Chinese New Year, which takes place on February 17, 2026.
The six-minute video features stunning visuals highlighting the visuals of the new game in the franchise, which this time will focus on a different narrative within Chinese mythology.

Despite its beauty, Game Science explained that the trailer’s content is non-canonical, and that nothing shown is part of the game; it’s merely a technical showcase to demonstrate the evolution and technology of the graphics engine.
Officially revealed at Gamescom 2025, Black Myth Zhong Kui promises another compelling story from Chinese folklore, this time focusing on Zhong Kui, a character known as the King of Ghosts. According to legend, he became a spiritual authority, tasked with exorcising and hunting demons. Watch the trailer below:
